Mandarin Profile began its broadcast on January 1st 2005. Up until now, the program has been produced with the motto “understanding the community from within the community” in mind, working hard to bring new themes and interviews to audiences every week. Every episode features stories of hardships from immigrants to Canada.
The Annual Mandarin Profile Awards Presentation highlights selected heartwarming stories of new immigrants previously depicted in Mandarin Profile. From all across Canada, the nominees are celebrated in different categories including family and individual entrepreneurship, business, women and young entrepreneurship, arts, professions, life, most innovative business, people's choice and the greatest honor, the Mandarin Profile Entrepreneur Award. The winners are carefully selected by a panel of professionals in fields ranging from arts to business and media. These extraordinary individuals have all shared their unique and inspiring experiences as immigrants who strive to make contributions to their new home in Canada.
