Being able to discern lies, Luk Chin-yu has been troubled by her power and unable to trust people, but then she realizes she can use her power to make money by becoming a lie catcher who helps others solve their problems through identifying lies. Since she met Man Cho-wo, a genius composer, she has never heard a single lie from him and she suspects that her power is failing. Chin-yu keeps approaching Cho-wo in different ways to test her power. In the process, she finds that he was the stranger who helped her 5 years prior, as well as the suspect in a missing and murdered case of a girl. Cho-wo has been hiding in anonymity for years because of the public's despise stemming from his suspected involvement in the murder case. But after his encounter with Chin-yu, she not only becomes the only person who believes him, but she also helps him uncover the truth. The two, who have since then got closer, develop unexpected affection towards each other and help each other find closure, with Chin-yu rebuilding her trust in people, and Cho-wo trying to live a normal life again.
